Important safety limitation
Mycoverse is a journal and learning resource. Image analysis can suggest possible matches, but does not confirm a species and can never determine whether a mushroom is safe to eat. Never eat a mushroom based on the app, a photo, a percentage score or another user. Use a qualified mushroom inspection service before consumption; physical inspection may be necessary.
The free beta includes up to three possible-match image-analysis requests per account in a rolling 30-day period. This limit applies only to the external image analysis and may be adjusted with reasonable notice. Private findings and the name catalogue remain unlimited.
Using the service
You are responsible for ensuring that the information you save is lawful. Do not use the app for illegal harvesting or access, or to store another person’s personal data without a valid legal basis.
Account and security
Protect your sign-in details and notify us if you suspect misuse. You can delete your account and associated data from Profile in the app.
Your content
You retain the rights to your photos, notes and other information. You grant Mycoverse only the limited rights needed to store, process and show the content back to you, to show a limited copy when you voluntarily share a finding, and to send selected finding photos for image analysis when you explicitly request it.
Community rules
Sharing is optional and findings remain private by default. Do not post unlawful, abusive, misleading, infringing or privacy-invasive content. Do not use approximate locations to locate people or sensitive habitats. You can report content and block users. We may review, hide or remove shared content.
Private links
You may create an expiring bearer link to one finding. Approximate location is the default. Exact location requires an explicit choice and should only be shared with someone you trust. Anyone who receives or forwards the link can view its limited content until it expires or you withdraw it. You are responsible for choosing the recipient and location precision.
Live trip sharing and safety
Safety Trip sharing is optional, private by bearer link and should be sent only to people you trust. Recipients can see your exact route and current or last position until the link is withdrawn or expires. Mycoverse does not monitor trips, contact emergency services, guarantee coverage, position accuracy or rescue, or replace normal outdoor safety equipment and local emergency services.
Premium subscription
The free plan includes up to 10 private findings. Mycoverse Premium unlocks unlimited private findings and SoppRadar alerts. Available plans, local prices and any introductory trial are shown before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID after any trial. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal and can be managed or cancelled in App Store settings. Apple determines trial eligibility. Existing findings remain available to view, edit, export and delete after cancellation.
Availability and changes
The service may be temporarily unavailable during maintenance, errors or security incidents. Features and terms may change with reasonable notice.
Limitation of liability
Possible matches, habitat scores, alerts, maps, name references and community content are estimates and may be incomplete, delayed or wrong. They do not guarantee that mushrooms exist or are safe. Assess terrain, access rights and food safety using qualified, current sources. Mycoverse is not a medical service or mushroom inspection service.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Norwegian law. We will seek to resolve disputes amicably; otherwise, Norwegian courts have jurisdiction subject to applicable consumer venue rules.
